| M&M Great Cakes is honored to present Juni Moon's Fine Art work. Juni Moon is June Sylvester Wales, a native Rochester area artist and painter that is coming into her own after decades of adversity. She has overcome homelessness, drug addictions, and welfare to attend college, become an established freelance graphic designer and digital imaging artist, and has now opened her own art studio in the Village Gate Square. She is a published poet and an avid blogger. Juni has been at Monroe Community College since 2004 and has won many awards and nominations for her work. She is Phi Theta Kappa and on the National Dean's list. She enjoys taking notes and recording books for the campus's disabilities office. Juni’s studio is in suite D212 on the second floor of the Village Gate’s main building on 274 N. Goodman Street. She is developing a series of abstract loft paintings for décor and also does commissioned portraits. Juni is an active member of the Rochester Artist’s Breakfast Group and shows with them frequently. She is also working with the Rochester City School and suburban art districts doing seminars involving her art and painting techniques. Juni currently lives in SeaBreeze with her 14 year old son and two cats. |
